Dr. Vessel has been awarded a 2025 CUNY Junior Faculty Research Award in Science and Engineering (JFRASE). This award aims to identify and advance the careers of talented untenured faculty in STEM fields, and provides financial support to enable awardees to devote concerted attention to developing research projects that have significant scientific, economic, and societal impact.
As part of the award, Dr. Vessel will participate in the NSF CAREER Grant Writing Bootcamp series offered by the Advanced Science Research Center (ASRC).
