Dr. Vessel has been selected as a 2026 Osher Fellow at the California Academy of Sciences (https://www.calacademy.org/osher-fellows) for a project with Indre Viskontas and Cal Academy. The project will investigate how uniqueness and meaning-making in conservation photography influence aesthetic appreciation and inspire climate action.
